Reformer Fitness Pilates takes the principles of Mat Fitness Pilates and combines them with the versatility of the Reformer machine.
Using adjustable spring resistance, exercises can be progressed or adapted to provide both support and challenge, helping you work with greater control and awareness.
The result is a low-impact but effective way to strengthen the whole body, with particular emphasis on the core, posture and quality of movement.
Regular Reformer Pilates can help you:
My focus isn't simply on performing exercises on a Reformer. It's about using the equipment to help you develop strength and movement that supports real life — whether that's sitting and standing more comfortably, staying active, moving with greater confidence or simply feeling stronger in your own body.
Classes are friendly, supportive and focused on quality of movement rather than rushing through exercises.
You'll receive clear guidance and different options so you can work at an appropriate level for your body and experience. The Reformer allows exercises to be adjusted in numerous ways, making it suitable both for people discovering Reformer Pilates for the first time and those looking for greater challenge.
Expect to work, concentrate and probably discover muscles you'd forgotten you had — but without the pressure to keep up with anyone else in the room.
I'm Zoë Smith, a qualified Fitness Pilates and Reformer Fitness Pilates instructor with more than 20 years' experience across health, fitness and wellbeing.

That experience shapes the way I teach: supportive, adaptable and focused on helping you build a body that works well for the life you want to live.
